FangFoot Ref 2010

This is FangFoot. He is, obviously, a made-up breed of dog of mine called "Slaunderian Guard Dog"--"SGD" for short.

On Slaunders, these dogs are considered slaves and not house-hold pets, however they come very close to having human intelligence. (And some of them are actually as smart as people, if not several times smarter.) These dogs easily educate themselves, however most of them are run by high levels of hormone that the people of Slaunders bred them to have. Males are very dangerous and, as their name implies, they are used as Guard Dogs.

SGD males are extremely muscular with powerful nostrils and ears, they also have a sixth sense that makes their fur raise up a bit when they feel danger. Slaunderians perfer SGDs that have high hormone levels with natural brain toxins that nullify it enough to give the dogs control of themselves in bad situations. (Yes, SGDs brains produce poison. . . odd, I know.) Another preference is that the "mouth flap" is ripped off or mostly off, making the dog look more terrifying and untamed to scare prisoners and foes.

Males are not good at running unless they have a sudden burst of hormones. And most do not stand normally, they are trained to slouch and crouch to look scarier, however this hurts their backs. The older SGDs literally can not stand up straight after about two years of slouching.

Females aren't as muscular as males, so they don't waddle when they walk around (yes, the males seem to waddle; FangFoot is probably the most balanced SGD due to his personality). They all have extremely high maternal instincts and are dangerous when they have a litter of puppies. Females also have longer legs and fur, and have "manes." Their ears are longer and they have a set of "extra fangs" coming down in several areas of their mouth. They are quick on their feet and have a swift reaction time--having quicker reflexes than the average human.

However, females don't have the sheer power and weight of the males. Females are harder to hurt than males, but they're no where near as powerful.

In the case of both males and females, SGDs have an area on their heads by their ears that can be stabbed or shot through and it won't kill them--not immediately, anyways. This area is by the part of the brain that produces hormones in SGDs however, so if shot just right you'll damage it and the poison they produce will eventually kill them--if the bleeding doesn't.

They have retractable claws and four toes. Most of them have short tails, but those with longer tails normally have a curled tail. They can be as short as bobbed tails or almost non-existent stubs, however most have the same length as FangFoot. FangFoot's mother has a curled tail, so sometimes his tail will curled over despite being short. All Guard Dogs are extremely loyal and are loyal to their master(s) for life--but they personally decide on who their master is. Once a master is decided, 95% of Slaunderian Guard Dogs NEVER betray him/her/it.

FangFoot is normally very easy going and relaxed, which is the opposite of most SGDs, so his ears are normally slanted down a bit or partially folded over. On his right side, FangFoot has a huge scar below his ear where he was shot and then someone put a drill in his head.
